To be eligible for a renewal, you must: • Have a valid Irish tachograph card • Have a valid Irish or EU driving licence with a bus or truck category • Be a resident of Ireland with a PPS number Fee A digital tachograph card for a driver costs: • €45 if you apply online, or • €60 if you apply by post - credit or debit card details only. Cash, postal orders, cheques or bank drafts are notaccepted methods of payment. You can apply for a driver card at our public office, where your documents will be checked on the spot. You must bring your: • • Original driver licence • ID document (passport or birth certificate) • Passport photograph • EU licence holders must also bring proof of residence (a photocopy of a bank statement, utility bill or PPSN letter issued from Dept of Social Protection, no more than 3 months old, are the only residency proofs acceptable) To apply in person, visit us at: Road Safety Authority, Clonfert House, Bride Street, Loughrea, Co Galway.
