Php 5 3 8 For Readynas X86 Registers

Hi all, We have a Netgear ReadyNAS 3200. It's been working great with our XP boxes and Server 2003 DC. Recently we added a 2008 R2 DC to the mix and I upgraded the forest and domain functional levels. Then we decided we really ought to be doing backups (don't ask.

I couldn't believe it either) so we bought Backup Exec 2012. I decided to do some disk-to-disk backups to this big NAS we have (10 TB of space). But the 2008 R2 boxes can't access CIFS shares on the NAS. The other boxes are still successfully accessing, and the 2008 R2 boxes can ping it and even access its Web mangement interface, so it's not a network communication issue. After some digging, I found that 2008 R2 increases the security requirements for CIFS shares -- it requires that 128-bit CIFS encryption be used. Apparently the ReadyNAS 3200 is not capable of this level of encryption. It was running the x86 firmware, version v4.2.15.

Oct 28, 2011. Hello, I try to set up the remote-software for android but everytime I get the message: could not register, check your credentials The remote. I am having the same problem (with identical error message) on my ipad. Readynas remote is working fine on my (local) Win 7 machine. Message 2 of 8.

I upgraded that to the latest, v4.2.22, in the hope that would enable a higher level of encryption, but no joy. It's especially frustrating because Netgear's release notes for other ReadyNAS families' (SPARC? Can't remember) firmware specifically states that 2008 R2 compatibility has been focused on and improved. Not for mine, apparently. There is a workaround -- I can degrade the encryption requirement via group policy, which should let me use the NAS again.

But considering the environment this thing is being used in -- and the fact that we will be moving entirely to Windows 7 in the next seven months -- that does not strike me as good idea. Is there a way?

Mar 27, 2013. I am a computer novice but have had so many system failures that I've decided to get an NAS. I just read that Netgear has recently announced a new line of NAS products with a new operating system and GUI. I have considered turning on iSCSI and configuring Backup Exec to just push to the NAS as an iSCSI target. However, I haven't done that because I'm not sure if I can do that without reconfiguring the array (and it's already got data on it).

Thanks folks. There is a workaround -- I can degrade the encryption requirement via group policy, which should let me use the NAS again. But considering the environment this thing is being used in -- and the fact that we will be moving entirely to Windows 7 in the next seven months -- that does not strike me as good idea. Is there a way? Yeah, there's a way. Degrade the encryption requirement. It honestly isn't going to hurt anything.
