Oct 06, 2008 . Outlook not good. Ectaco is adamant that all repairs must be sent directly to them.
They do not authorize anyone else to perform repairs. As a result, no one else can obtain parts or service manuals to repair these devices. So there are no other options for repair worldwide- only shipping the unit to Ectaco's Service Center in the United States (and only if it is under warranty). You could try posting your problem on the to see if any other users of this translator have a solution.
You will see many other users on the forum that are in your same situation, and most of them are equally frustrated. Though I have not been able to personally fix your problem, I hope the information provided will be helpful in some way. Mar 05, 2008 .
