Dvd Player In Honda Pilot Not Working
I have a 2005 and I had a similar situation happen. We were driving and the rear DVD was playing fine and then it just stopped, no picture, no sound. We took the disc out and put it back in and all it would say is DVD loading. We tried several discs and that's all we got.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Except mine had the dvd loaded in it, then the battery drained somehow (still not sure how). When I charged the battery and put in the radio code the dvd is stuck on 'loading' and it wont eject or even seem to try ejecting. I dont want to pay the dealer to do this.

If they will charge me for it then I will just pull the thing out and take the disc out manually. I'm wondering about this too. I'm on the cusp of getting a new 07 Ody, and I've had concerns about basic warranty coverage for the DVD system. Well, I tried taking the battery cables off again and then putting them on. I waited 5 minutes first so the memory would be drained. Before I entered the radio code I tried ejecting the disk. Nothing was working.
I still have the dvd stuck in there and if I pull the lint cleaner thing back to see inside I can see 2 metal tabs sticking up over the dvd. I am guessing this is some sort of antitheft thing. The dvd drive thought it was being stolen from the power being removed (the dead battery) and so it puts those tabs up to render the unit useless. I am going to call the dealer on monday to see if they have an easy fix for it. Or if the whole unit needs to be replaced, It seems awfully stupid though. Thats for sure.
